NordicTrack Commercial 1750 quick verdict
The Commercial 1750 is aimed at regular runners who want a more heavy-duty NordicTrack treadmill with a stronger motor and larger screen. The 4.25 CHP motor, 152 x 55 cm (59.8 x 21.7 in) running area, 12% incline and 3% decline give it plenty of scope for frequent home running.
The extra spend over the 1250 is mainly about the stronger motor and 16-inch iFIT screen. If those upgrades do not matter to you, the 1250 keeps much of the same basic running specification for less.

I judge the Commercial 1750 in the context of the job it is designed to do – regular and frequent home running with a more immersive iFIT setup.
I focused on how the main features affect real buying decisions rather than treating every line of the specification as equally important.
- Training suitability – belt size, speed, incline and the overall specification for the kind of running, jogging or walking the machine is aimed at.
- Build and practicality – machine weight, user capacity, frame type, dimensions, storage and how realistic it is to place and move at home.
- Technology and ownership – console or controls, app choice, warranty and recurring themes in model-specific customer feedback.
For this review I focused on motor power, running area, incline and decline, screen, iFIT and warranty.
I use the current UK specification as the starting point and focus on how the main features affect real buying decisions. I do not assume an overseas version is identical to the model sold here.

Who is the NordicTrack Commercial 1750 best for?
The Commercial 1750 is a good fit if you run regularly, want the stronger 4.25 CHP motor and expect to use the larger iFIT screen.
If the screen and stronger motor are not important, the 1250 is the obvious model to look at before paying more.
What Stands Out
More motor capacity for frequent running – The stronger motor works well if you run frequently or cover more miles each week.
Roomy running area – The 152 x 55 cm (59.8 x 21.7 in) belt gives you plenty of space for regular running.
Incline and decline – The 12% incline gives plenty of scope for hill work, while the 3% decline can simulate downhill running.
Larger screen for guided workouts – The larger display is a worthwhile upgrade if you regularly follow trainer-led sessions.
Strong home warranty – Lifetime frame, 10 years on the motor and two years parts and labour is good cover once registered within 28 days.
Things to consider
Very fast intervals may need more pace – That is enough for most home running, but dedicated fast interval runners may want more pace.
iFIT is central – The smart features are heavily tied to iFIT rather than open third-party treadmill control.
Only pay for the bigger screen if you will use it – The 16-inch display matters most if trainer-led workouts are part of your normal routine.
It is a large treadmill – The heavy-duty frame needs a dedicated training space and some planning for delivery and assembly.
A CLOSER LOOK
How the NordicTrack Commercial 1750 performs in key areas
RUNNING COMFORT
Running area
The 152 x 55 cm (59.8 x 21.7 in) running area gives you plenty of room for regular running and should suit a long stride well. The extra length becomes more valuable as pace increases because you have more room to let your stride open up naturally.
BUILD & CAPACITY
Build and user weight
The 182 kg (28 st 9 lb) maximum user weight is high for a home treadmill, and the heavy-duty frame works well for frequent running. For regular use, that sturdier frame matters because the treadmill is less likely to feel light or unsettled as pace and incline change.
PERFORMANCE
Motor and speed
The 4.25 CHP motor gives the 1750 plenty of power for regular home running and higher weekly mileage. The 20 km/h (12.4 mph) top speed is enough for most running sessions. The main benefit of the stronger motor is sustained regular use rather than a higher headline speed, so it is more relevant to frequent runners than occasional users.
HILL CLIMB TRAINING
Incline and decline
The 12% incline gives plenty of scope for hill work, while the 3% decline can simulate downhill running. With iFIT, SmartAdjust can change the gradient automatically during supported sessions. That gives you more ways to change effort than speed alone, which is handy for hill sessions and guided routes.
SPACE & STORAGE
Frame and storage
The running platform folds to reduce the stored length to 112 cm (44.1 in). It is still 94 cm (37 in) wide, so this saves floor length rather than turning it into a compact treadmill. My folding treadmill guide explains the main folding designs.
CONNECTED TRAINING
Apps and subscriptions
iFIT is a big part of the 1750. The automatic speed and gradient changes work well with trainer-led sessions, but I would only pay for that setup if you expect to use it regularly.
My smart treadmill guide explains the different levels of connected training.
iFIT can also sync workout data with Strava, Garmin Connect and Apple Health.
EVERYDAY USE
Console and controls
The 16-inch pivoting touchscreen is a worthwhile upgrade if you follow video workouts. If you mostly use Quick Start, I would put more weight on the motor, running area and warranty.
iFIT can also sync workout data with Strava, Garmin Connect and Apple Health.
PEACE OF MIND
Warranty and after-sales cover
The warranty is lifetime on the frame, 10 years on the motor and 2 years parts and labour when registered within 28 days.
That is strong home-use cover. Make sure you register the treadmill within the 28-day window.
SPACE CHECK
NordicTrack Commercial 1750 dimensions and space required
The Commercial 1750 folds to reclaim some floor space between sessions, but folding does not remove the need to plan for its full width and the room required to use it safely.
| Dimensions in use | 196 x 94 x 151.1 cm (77.2 x 37.0 x 59.5 in) |
| Running area | 152 x 55 cm (59.8 x 21.7 in) |
| Frame type | Fold-Up Deck |
| Maximum user weight | 182 kg (28 st 9 lb) |
Although this treadmill has transport wheels, you still need to be comfortable lifting or tilting part of it to get it onto the wheels before you can move it.
Because the treadmill’s boxed weight will be over 80 kg, couriers will not take it up any stairs during delivery.
TREADMILL COMPARISON
Compare the NordicTrack Commercial 1750 with other treadmills
Use the selectors below to compare the NordicTrack Commercial 1750 with up to three treadmills I have reviewed. The first column stays fixed to this model.
Choose at least one treadmill above to show the comparison table.
| Feature | NordicTrack Commercial 1750 | |||
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Motor power | 4.25 CHP | |||
| Maximum speed | 20 km/h (12.4 mph) | |||
| Incline | 12% | |||
| Running belt | 152 x 55 cm (59.8 x 21.7 in) | |||
| Maximum user weight | 182 kg (28 st 9 lb) | |||
| Frame type | Fold-Up Deck | |||
| Compatible apps | iFIT, Strava, Garmin Connect, Apple Health | |||
| Assembled dimensions | 196 x 94 x 151.1 cm (77.2 x 37.0 x 59.5 in) |
The table is there to make the differences easier to scan. I would still judge each treadmill in the context of the training it is designed for rather than treating one higher figure as automatically better.
NordicTrack Commercial 1750 final verdict
The Commercial 1750 is the model I would look at if I wanted more motor power than the 1250 and expected to run frequently. The 4.25 CHP motor and 152 x 55 cm (59.8 x 21.7 in) running area give it a strong base for regular training.
The 12% incline and 3% decline are useful for hill work and simulated downhill running, while the 16-inch screen makes iFIT easier to follow than on the smaller model.
The main question is whether those upgrades justify the extra spend. The 20 km/h (12.4 mph) top speed is enough for most runners, but it is not aimed at people who regularly need more pace.
If you will use the stronger motor and bigger screen, the 1750 is a worthwhile step up. If not, I would look at the 1250 first.
