WalkingPad P1 quick verdict
The WalkingPad P1 is a simple walking-focused model for adding more steps without taking up too much floor space. The 120 x 41.5 cm (47.2 x 16.3 in) belt is a good size for walking and the deck folds in half for easy storage.
It has 6 km/h (3.7 mph) max speed and uses a 0.75 CHP brushed motor, so I see it suited more for occasional walking than for long daily sessions. Look for a more powerful motor for the latter.

I judge the P1 in the context of the job it is designed to do – straightforward everyday walking and under-desk use with low-level storage. I focused on how the main features affect real buying decisions rather than treating every line of the specification as equally important.
- Walking suitability – belt length and width, speed, controls and whether the machine fits the way you plan to accumulate steps.
- Build and practicality – machine weight, user capacity, frame type, dimensions, storage and how realistic it is to place and move at home.
- Technology and ownership – console or controls, app choice, warranty and recurring themes in model-specific customer feedback.
For this review I focused on walking area, motor information, folding, controls, user limit and machine weight. I use the current UK specification as the starting point and focus on how the main features affect real buying decisions. I do not assume an overseas version is identical to the model sold here.

Who is the WalkingPad P1 best for?
The P1 is a good fit if you want a simple walking pad with a spacious walking area, easy to store and can be used at a desk
If you want incline, jogging or a higher user limit, I would choose a different model.
What Stands Out
Good room for everyday walking – The belt gives a good amount of room for a natural walking stride for most users. This is the max length most pads will go to.
Under desk usage – No handles means the pad can be used while working at a height-adjustable desk.
Remote control display – Workout data is shown on the remote control, which is handy if the pad is hidden under a desk.
Easy storage – The deck folds to around 5 inches (12.9 cm (5.1 in)) in height so should fit under most furniture – make sure to measure your space first though.
Simple controls – The remote control, FootSense technology and KS Fit app are all options for adjusting settings – no need for a large console.
Things to consider
Not for jogging or running – The 6 km/h (3.7 mph) top speed is aimed at walking only.
Designed for lighter walking use – The brushed motor is intended for occasional walking rather than frequent, long walks.
Frequent moving takes some effort – The built-in wheels help with transportation, but you still have to lift one end when moving it. Make sure you are comfortable with this.
Heavier users need more capacity – If you are close to the maximum, I would look at a higher-capacity walking pad.
A CLOSER LOOK
How the WalkingPad P1 performs in key areas
RUNNING COMFORT
Walking area
The 120 x 41.5 cm (47.2 x 16.3 in) belt gives you a practical amount of room for walking while still folding down compactly. The length is one reason it works well as an under-desk pad: you get normal walking room without needing the footprint of a running treadmill.
BUILD & CAPACITY
Build and user weight
The P1 has a 100 kg (15 st 10 lb) maximum user weight and weighs 28 kg (4 st 6 lb). If you are close to that limit, I would look at a higher-capacity walking pad.
PERFORMANCE
Motor and speed
The 6 km/h (3.7 mph) top speed and 0.75 CHP brushed motor make it fine for walking, but not jogging or running. That keeps the P1 focused on desk walking and everyday steps rather than trying to cover jogging as well.
HILL CLIMB TRAINING
Incline
The P1, like many pads, does not have incline, so speed and session length are the main ways to make a walk harder. The trade-off is that harder sessions have to come from walking faster or longer rather than adding gradient.
SPACE & STORAGE
Folding, storage and moving
It folds to about 82.2 x 54.7 x 12.9 cm (32.4 x 21.5 x 5.1 in). At just over 5 inches high it should fit under some beds or sofas, but measure the clearance first.
At 28 kg (62 lb), it is still light viewed alongside an actual treadmill but is still fairly heavy, so make sure you’re comfortable with this.
CONNECTED TRAINING
Controls and KS Fit
FootSense is WalkingPad’s position-based automatic speed control: it responds to where you are on the belt and speeds up or slows down automatically.
KS Fit is WalkingPad/KingSmith’s companion app for compatible machines, covering workout tracking and supported treadmill controls.
The remote also shows speed, time, distance and calories, which is handy when the pad is under a desk. My smart treadmill guide explains the difference between simple app tracking and treadmill control.
KS Fit is WalkingPad/KingSmith’s own companion app. WalkingPad also shows Kinomap compatibility for connected route-based training with compatible machines, including the P1 on its current UK product page.
EVERYDAY USE
Casual walking
The 6 km/h (3.7 mph) top speed covers normal and brisk walking. There is no handrail, so this is not intended to double as a running treadmill. That makes the P1 easier to slide under a desk, but it also means it is best treated as a dedicated walking pad rather than a small treadmill you can progress into running on.
PEACE OF MIND
Warranty and after-sales cover
WalkingPad gives the P1 a one-year warranty, with an optional extension available.
Keep the belt clean, follow the lubrication guidance and keep proof of purchase.
SPACE CHECK
WalkingPad P1 dimensions and space required
The P1 is designed to reduce its storage footprint, but I would still check the exact folded or stored dimensions against the space where you intend to keep it.
| Dimensions in use | 143.2 x 54.7 x 12.9 cm (56.4 x 21.5 x 5.1 in) |
| Running area | 120 x 41.50 cm (47.2 x 16.3 in) |
| Frame type | Walking Pad |
| Maximum user weight | 100 kg (15 st 10 lb) |
| Machine weight | 28 kg (62 lb) |
Although this treadmill has transport wheels, you still need to be comfortable lifting or tilting part of it to get it onto the wheels before you can move it.
TREADMILL COMPARISON
Compare the WalkingPad P1 with other treadmills
Use the selectors below to compare the WalkingPad P1 with up to three treadmills I have reviewed. The first column stays fixed to this model.
Choose at least one treadmill above to show the comparison table.
| Feature | WalkingPad P1 | |||
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Motor power | 0.75 CHP | |||
| Maximum speed | 6 km/h (3.7 mph) | |||
| Incline | None | |||
| Running belt | 120 x 41.50 cm (47.2 x 16.3 in) | |||
| Maximum user weight | 100 kg (15 st 10 lb) | |||
| Frame type | Walking Pad | |||
| Compatible apps | KS Fit, Kinomap | |||
| Assembled dimensions | 143.2 x 54.7 x 12.9 cm (56.4 x 21.5 x 5.1 in) |
The table is there to make the differences easier to scan. I would still judge each treadmill in the context of the training it is designed for rather than treating one higher figure as automatically better.
WalkingPad P1 final verdict
The WalkingPad P1 keeps things simple: a 120 cm (47.2 in) walking belt, basic controls and a deck that folds in half for low-level storage.
The 6 km/h (3.7 mph) top speed and 0.75 CHP brushed motor make it strictly a walking machine.
At 28 kg (4 st 6 lb) it still takes some effort to move, and the 100 kg (15 st 10 lb) user limit is lower than several other WalkingPad models.
If you want a straightforward walking pad and the folding design solves a storage problem, the P1 does the job. If incline, jogging or a higher user limit matters, choose something else.
