NordicTrack Commercial 2450 quick verdict
The Commercial 2450 is aimed at keen runners who want NordicTrack’s biggest screen and a little more top speed. The 4.25 CHP motor, 152 x 55 cm (59.8 x 21.7 in) running area and 22 km/h (13.7 mph) top speed give it a strong base for faster home training.
I would only pay the extra for the 2450 if you will use the 24-inch screen or regularly make use of speeds above 20 km/h (12.4 mph). Otherwise, the 1750 gives you a very similar running specification for less.

I judge the Commercial 2450 in the context of the job it is designed to do – regular home running with a larger-screen, more performance-focused iFIT setup.
I focused on how the main features affect real buying decisions rather than treating every line of the specification as equally important.
- Training suitability – belt size, speed, incline and the overall specification for the kind of running, jogging or walking the machine is aimed at.
- Build and practicality – machine weight, user capacity, frame type, dimensions, storage and how realistic it is to place and move at home.
- Technology and ownership – console or controls, app choice, warranty and recurring themes in model-specific customer feedback.
For this review I focused on motor power, speed, running area, incline and decline, screen, iFIT and warranty.
I use the current UK specification as the starting point and focus on how the main features affect real buying decisions. I do not assume an overseas version is identical to the model sold here.

Who is the NordicTrack Commercial 2450 best for?
The Commercial 2450 is a good fit if you will use the 22 km/h (13.7 mph) top speed and 24-inch iFIT screen rather than simply wanting the highest-priced model in the range.
If most of your running stays below 20 km/h (12.4 mph) or you do not want a large trainer-led screen, I would look at the 1750 first.
What Stands Out
Strong base for frequent running – The 152 x 55 cm (59.8 x 21.7 in) running area and strong motor give it a solid base for regular running.
Extra pace for faster intervals – The extra pace is worthwhile if you regularly run faster than the 20 km/h (12.4 mph) limit on the 1750.
Large screen for guided training – The bigger screen is a good fit if iFIT-led sessions are a big part of your training.
Incline and decline – The 12% incline gives plenty of scope for hill work, while the 3% decline can simulate downhill running.
Things to consider
Much of the premium is screen and speed – The 24-inch screen and 22 km/h (13.7 mph) top speed need to be features you will actually use.
iFIT is central – The more you spend, the more important it is that you are happy with iFIT being the main training platform.
No open third-party treadmill control – If direct Zwift or Kinomap treadmill integration matters to you, I would look elsewhere.
It’s big! – At 196 x 94 cm (77.2 x 37 in), it needs a dedicated amount of floor space even though the running platform folds.
A CLOSER LOOK
How the NordicTrack Commercial 2450 performs in key areas
RUNNING COMFORT
Running area
The 152 x 55 cm (59.8 x 21.7 in) running area gives you plenty of room for regular and faster running. The length is especially useful once pace rises because a longer stride has more room without making you feel crowded towards the front or rear of the belt.
BUILD & CAPACITY
Build and user weight
The 182 kg (28 st 9 lb) maximum user weight is high for a home treadmill. The heavy build is a positive here because this is a large treadmill designed for regular running. It broadens the range of users the machine can accommodate and should be viewed as part of the stability rather than as a portability feature.
PERFORMANCE
Motor and speed
The 4.25 CHP motor is well suited to frequent home running, while the 22 km/h (13.7 mph) top speed gives you more pace than the 1250 and 1750.
If you rarely run above 20 km/h (12.4 mph), I would not pay extra for the final 2 km/h (1.2 mph) alone.
HILL CLIMB TRAINING
Incline and decline
The 12% incline gives plenty of scope for hill work, while the 3% decline can simulate downhill running. With iFIT, SmartAdjust can change the gradient automatically during supported sessions. The gradient range lets you change the character of a session without always adding speed, which is particularly useful for guided route workouts.
SPACE & STORAGE
Frame and storage
The running platform folds to reduce the stored length to 112 cm (44.1 in). It still needs a large space when folded, so this is not a compact-storage treadmill. My folding treadmill guide explains the main folding designs.
CONNECTED TRAINING
Apps and subscriptions
iFIT is NordicTrack’s main connected training platform, with guided workouts and automatic treadmill adjustments on compatible sessions. The 2450 is a good fit if iFIT will be a big part of your training.
The automatic adjustments and 24-inch screen are the main reasons to choose it over the 1750. My smart treadmill guide explains the different levels of connected training.
iFIT can also sync workout data with Strava, Garmin Connect and Apple Health.
EVERYDAY USE
Console and controls
The 24-inch pivoting touchscreen is the standout feature. It is much easier to justify if you regularly follow trainer-led sessions and off-treadmill workouts.
iFIT can also sync workout data with Strava, Garmin Connect and Apple Health.
PEACE OF MIND
Warranty and after-sales cover
The warranty is lifetime on the frame, 10 years on the motor and 2 years parts and labour when registered within 28 days.
The frame and motor cover is strong, while the two-year parts and labour cover is the period I would pay closest attention to because that is where repair costs can matter most during normal ownership.
SPACE CHECK
NordicTrack Commercial 2450 dimensions and space required
The Commercial 2450 folds to reclaim some floor space between sessions, but folding does not remove the need to plan for its full width and the room required to use it safely.
| Dimensions in use | 196 x 94 x 161 cm (77.2 x 37.0 x 63.4 in) |
| Running area | 152 x 55 cm (59.8 x 21.7 in) |
| Frame type | Fold-Up Deck |
| Maximum user weight | 182 kg (28 st 9 lb) |
Although this treadmill has transport wheels, you still need to be comfortable lifting or tilting part of it to get it onto the wheels before you can move it.
Because the treadmill’s boxed weight will be over 80 kg, couriers will not take it up any stairs during delivery.
TREADMILL COMPARISON
Compare the NordicTrack Commercial 2450 with other treadmills
Use the selectors below to compare the NordicTrack Commercial 2450 with up to three treadmills I have reviewed. The first column stays fixed to this model.
Choose at least one treadmill above to show the comparison table.
| Feature | NordicTrack Commercial 2450 | |||
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Motor power | 4.25 CHP | |||
| Maximum speed | 22 km/h (13.7 mph) | |||
| Incline | 12% | |||
| Running belt | 152 x 55 cm (59.8 x 21.7 in) | |||
| Maximum user weight | 182 kg (28 st 9 lb) | |||
| Frame type | Fold-Up Deck | |||
| Compatible apps | iFIT, Strava, Garmin Connect, Apple Health | |||
| Assembled dimensions | 196 x 94 x 161 cm (77.2 x 37.0 x 63.4 in) |
The table is there to make the differences easier to scan. I would still judge each treadmill in the context of the training it is designed for rather than treating one higher figure as automatically better.
NordicTrack Commercial 2450 final verdict
The Commercial 2450 is the NordicTrack I would choose if faster running and a very large screen both matter. The 4.25 CHP motor, 152 x 55 cm (59.8 x 21.7 in) running area and 22 km/h (13.7 mph) top speed give it a strong running specification.
The 12% incline and 3% decline add hill work and simulated downhill running, while the 24-inch pivoting display is the biggest difference from the 1750.
The price is easier to justify if you will use those extras. If most of your training stays below 20 km/h (12.4 mph) or you do not care about the larger screen, I would not pay the premium.
For the right runner the 2450 is a strong machine, but the 1750 is the comparison I would make before buying.

NordicTrack Commercial 2450 FAQ
Is the NordicTrack Commercial 2450 suitable for tall runners?
Yes. The 152 x 55 cm (59.8 x 21.7 in) running area is spacious and should work well for many taller runners and longer strides.
Is the NordicTrack Commercial 2450 suitable for faster interval training?
The 22 km/h (13.7 mph) top speed gives it more pace than most home runners will need and makes it a strong option if faster intervals are part of your training.
Is the NordicTrack Commercial 2450 suitable for heavier users?
The maximum user weight is 182 kg (28 st 9 lb), which is a high home-use capacity. If the heaviest user is close to that figure, I would look at a higher-capacity treadmill for frequent running.
Is the 24-inch iFIT screen worth it on the NordicTrack Commercial 2450?
It is worth paying for if trainer-led sessions and immersive iFIT workouts are a major part of your routine. If you mainly use manual workouts, the large screen will contribute less to the value of the treadmill.
What warranty does the NordicTrack Commercial 2450 have in the UK?
The warranty is lifetime on the frame, 10 years on the motor and 2 years parts and labour when registered within 28 days. Registration is therefore important.
What is iFIT?
iFIT is the main connected training platform used by NordicTrack. It provides guided workouts and can adjust treadmill speed and incline or decline automatically during compatible sessions. The full connected features depend on the current iFIT membership.
