NordicTrack T Series 16 Review
A folding NordicTrack treadmill for regular home running, with a larger display and stronger motor than the T Series 10.
Summary and Chapter Links
NordicTrack T Series 16 quick verdict
The T Series 16 is a strong all-round treadmill for regular home running. Its 3.6 CHP motor, 152 x 51 cm (60 x 20 in) running area, 20 km/h (12.4 mph) top speed and 12% incline give you plenty to work with.
One reason to consider it over the T Series 10 is the 40.6 cm (16 in) touchscreen and stronger motor. If those two upgrades are not important to you, the cheaper model gives you very similar running space, speed and incline.

I judge the NordicTrack T Series 16 by the job it is meant to do – give regular home runners the T Series running platform with a stronger motor and a larger connected-training screen.
- Training suitability – running area, motor, speed, incline and how the overall specification fits the intended use.
- Build and practicality – machine weight, user capacity, frame type, dimensions, storage and how realistic it is to place and move at home.
- Technology and ownership – console, app choice, controls, warranty and recurring themes in model-specific customer feedback.
I use the current UK specification as the starting point and focus on how the main features affect real buying decisions. I also check that the UK model or console package matches the version covered here.

Who is the NordicTrack T Series 16 best for?
The T Series 16 is a good fit for regular runners who want NordicTrack’s connected training experience on a larger screen without moving up to the Commercial Series.
If you are mainly walking or only run occasionally, I would look at the T Series 10 first. If decline training or more motor power is important, I would look further up the NordicTrack range.
What Stands Out
Stronger T Series motor – The 3.6 CHP motor gives regular runners more capacity than the T Series 10 while keeping the same 20 km/h (12.4 mph) top speed.
Large connected-training display – The 40.6 cm (16 in) tilting touchscreen is much easier to follow during iFIT sessions than a smaller console.
Good running area – The 152 x 51 cm (60 x 20 in) belt gives good running length without an excessively wide footprint.
Useful folding design – EasyLift Assist lets you raise the running platform for storage and roll the treadmill on its transport wheels.
Things to consider
The screen is part of the price – If you do not plan to use iFIT regularly, the 40.6 cm (16 in) display is less of a reason to pay more.
No decline – The 12% incline is useful, but you need the Commercial Series if downhill simulation matters.
It is still a large treadmill – Folding helps when it is not in use, but you need enough room for the open footprint and access around it.
A CLOSER LOOK
How the NordicTrack T Series 16 performs in key areas
RUNNING COMFORT
Running area
The 152 x 51 cm (60 x 20 in) running area is a good size for regular home running and should give taller runners enough length for a normal running gait. The 152 cm length gives longer strides room to open up as pace increases, while the 51 cm width keeps the footprint a little narrower than 56 cm belts.
BUILD & CAPACITY
Build and user weight
The maximum user weight is 148 kg (23 st 3 lb). The T Series 16 has enough capacity for a wide range of home runners without making machine weight itself a selling point. The limit gives heavier users more choice, while the frame is intended to stay planted during regular running rather than be treated as a lightweight machine.
PERFORMANCE
Motor and speed
The 3.6 CHP motor is the most useful performance difference from the T Series 10. Paired with a 20 km/h (12.4 mph) top speed, it gives regular runners more scope for frequent training.
HILLS & INTERVALS
Incline
The treadmill reaches 12% incline, which is enough for hill walking, tempo work and harder running without relying on speed alone. There is no decline. For walking, it can raise effort without needing more speed; for running, it gives you a separate hill-training option even though there is no downhill setting.
SPACE & STORAGE
Frame and storage
The treadmill measures about 194 x 89 x 151 cm (76.4 x 35 x 59.4 in) in use and roughly 105.4 x 89 x 176.5 cm (41.5 x 35 x 69.5 in) folded.
EasyLift Assist supports the upright fold. My folding treadmill guide explains how this stacks up against flat-folding and other storage designs.
CONNECTED TRAINING
Apps and subscriptions
iFIT is the main connected training platform used by NordicTrack. It provides guided workouts, SmartAdjust automatic changes and ActivePulse heart-rate-led adjustments when the required equipment and membership are in place.
Workout data can sync with Strava, Garmin Connect and Apple Health. My smart treadmill guide explains how that differs from the app directly controlling a treadmill.
EVERYDAY USE
Console and controls
The 40.6 cm (16 in) tilting touchscreen is the defining feature of this version. Quick speed and incline controls, AutoBreeze, speakers and USB-C charging cover the everyday basics around it.
iFIT can also sync workout data with Strava, Garmin Connect and Apple Health.
PEACE OF MIND
Warranty and after-sales cover
The UK T Series warranty is lifetime on the frame, 10 years on the motor and 2 years parts and labour when the treadmill is registered within 28 days of purchase.
That is reassuring for a treadmill aimed at regular running. I would keep the registration confirmation and proof of purchase with the rest of the machine paperwork.
SPACE CHECK
NordicTrack T Series 16 dimensions and space required
The T Series 16 measures about 194 x 89 x 151 cm (76.4 x 35 x 59.4 in) when open. Current UK retailer information puts machine weight at about 94 kg (207 lb), so I would plan its position before assembly rather than expect to move it regularly.
| Dimensions in use | 194 x 89 x 151 cm (76.4 x 35.0 x 59.4 in) |
| Running area | 152 x 51 cm (59.8 x 20.1 in) |
| Machine weight | 94 kg (207 lb) |
| Frame type | Fold-Up Deck |
| Maximum user weight | 148 kg (23 st 4 lb) |
The treadmill folds and uses transport wheels, but you still need to be comfortable tilting part of the 94 kg (207 lb) machine onto the wheels before moving it. It is better suited to occasional repositioning than being moved after every run.
Because the treadmill’s boxed weight will be over 80 kg, couriers will not take it up any stairs during delivery.
TREADMILL COMPARISON
Compare the NordicTrack T Series 16 with other treadmills
Use the selectors below to compare the NordicTrack T Series 16 with up to three treadmills I have reviewed. The first column stays fixed to this model.
Choose at least one treadmill above to show the comparison table.
| Feature | NordicTrack T Series 16 | |||
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Motor power | 3.6 CHP | |||
| Maximum speed | 20 km/h (12.4 mph) | |||
| Incline | 12% | |||
| Running belt | 152 x 51 cm (59.8 x 20.1 in) | |||
| Maximum user weight | 148 kg (23 st 4 lb) | |||

| Compatible apps | iFIT, Strava, Garmin Connect, Apple Health | |||
| Assembled dimensions | 194 x 89 x 151 cm (76.4 x 35.0 x 59.4 in) |
The table is there to make the differences easier to scan. I would still judge each treadmill in the context of the training it is designed for rather than treating one higher figure as automatically better.
NordicTrack T Series 16 final verdict
The T Series 16 is the stronger choice in NordicTrack’s current T Series. The 3.6 CHP motor and 152 x 51 cm (60 x 20 in) running area make it a good fit for regular home running.
The 40.6 cm (16 in) screen is one reason to consider it over the T Series 10. It makes guided sessions easier to follow, but that advantage matters much less if you are not interested in iFIT.
The rest of the specification is well judged rather than excessive. A 20 km/h (12.4 mph) top speed, 12% incline and folding frame cover the things most home runners actually need.
choose the T Series 16 if you run regularly and want the larger connected-training display. If you are less interested in the screen, look at the T Series 10 before paying more.
