WalkingPad A1 Pro quick verdict

I judge the A1 Pro in the context of the job it is designed to do – everyday walking and under-desk use with a higher stated user capacity. I focused on how the main features affect real buying decisions rather than treating every line of the specification as equally important.
- Walking suitability – belt length and width, speed, controls and whether the machine fits the way you plan to accumulate steps.
- Build and practicality – machine weight, user capacity, frame type, dimensions, storage and how realistic it is to place and move at home.
- Technology and ownership – console or controls, app choice, warranty and recurring themes in model-specific customer feedback.
For this review I focused on walking area, user limit, motor information, folding, controls and machine weight. I use the current UK specification as the starting point and focus on how the main features affect real buying decisions. I do not assume an overseas version is identical to the model sold here.

Who is the WalkingPad A1 Pro best for?
The A1 Pro is a good fit if you want a good walking length, flat storage and a higher stated user limit than many compact pads.
If you want incline, need something especially light to move or expect long demanding sessions at a higher body weight, I would consider alternatives.
What Stands Out
Good room for everyday walking – The belt gives you a good amount of room for a normal walking stride.
Higher user limit – The 136 kg (21 st 6 lb) maximum is higher than the 100 or 110 kg (17 st 5 lb) limits on many compact walking pads.
Flexible controls – FootSenseâ„¢, the remote and KS Fit give you several simple ways to control and track a walk.
Flat folding – It folds to around 12.9 cm (5.1 in) high for low-level storage.
Things to consider
Long daily use needs some caution – A practical spec for walking, although I would look at a heavier-duty treadmill if you are close to the 136 kg (300 lb) limit and plan long daily sessions.
Frequent moving takes some effort – The transport wheels help, but you still have to lift and position one end if you move it after every walk.
No incline – The A1 Pro is designed for flat walking.
Walking-focused design – If jogging is likely to matter later, I would choose a model with a higher speed range.
A CLOSER LOOK
How the WalkingPad A1 Pro performs in key areas
RUNNING COMFORT
Walking area
The 120 x 41.5 cm (47.2 x 16.3 in) walking area gives you a good walking length and a little more width than the narrowest compact pads. The extra length helps keep normal strides comfortable without forcing you to shorten your step to stay centred on the belt.
BUILD & CAPACITY
Build and user weight
The maximum user weight is 136 kg (21 st 6 lb), which is high for a flat-folding walking pad. If you are close to that figure, I would also think about how long you plan to use it each day.
PERFORMANCE
Motor and speed
The 1.25 CHP motor is rather powerful as far as walking pads go, with many falling around 0.75 – 1 CHP. However, if I had the choice I would still have a more powerful motor – but you’d then be moving away from handle-free pads and looking more at small standard treadmills. Max speed is 6 km/h (3.7 mph) which is standard for walking pads.
HILL CLIMB TRAINING
Incline
The A1 Pro does not have incline, so speed and session length are the main ways to make a walk harder. That keeps the design compact, but it means you cannot raise effort through gradient if you want harder low-speed walking.
SPACE & STORAGE
Folding, storage and moving
It folds to around 82.2 x 54.7 x 12.9 cm (32.4 x 21.5 x 5.1 in). At 12.9 cm (5.1 in) high it should fit under some beds or sofas, but measure the clearance first. At 28.5 kg (63 lb), it still takes some effort to move regularly. My folding treadmill guide explains the main folding designs if storage is a priority.
CONNECTED TRAINING
Apps and controls
FootSense is WalkingPad’s position-based automatic speed control: it responds to where you are on the belt and speeds up or slows down automatically.
KS Fit is WalkingPad/KingSmith’s companion app for compatible machines, covering workout tracking and supported treadmill controls. You can also use the remote for simple manual control.
My smart treadmill guide explains the difference between simple app tracking and treadmill control.
EVERYDAY USE
Display and tracking
The physical display is simple, while the remote and app handle most of the control and history. That works well for under-desk use where a large console would get in the way.
PEACE OF MIND
Warranty and after-sales cover
WalkingPad gives the A1 Pro a one-year warranty, with an optional extension available.
One year is fairly short, so I would follow the maintenance guidance and keep proof of purchase. I would also check the seller’s support terms before buying, because the standard cover gives you less time than many larger treadmills.
SPACE CHECK
WalkingPad A1 Pro dimensions and space required
The A1 Pro is designed to reduce its storage footprint, but I would still check the exact folded or stored dimensions against the space where you intend to keep it.
| Dimensions in use | 143.2 x 54.7 x 12.9 cm (56.4 x 21.5 x 5.1 in) |
| Running area | 120 x 41.50 cm (47.2 x 16.3 in) |
| Frame type | Walking Pad |
| Maximum user weight | 136 kg (21 st 6 lb) |
| Machine weight | 28.5 kg (63 lb) |
Although this treadmill has transport wheels, you still need to be comfortable lifting or tilting part of it to get it onto the wheels before you can move it.
TREADMILL COMPARISON
Compare the WalkingPad A1 Pro with other treadmills
Use the selectors below to compare the WalkingPad A1 Pro with up to three treadmills I have reviewed. The first column stays fixed to this model.
Choose at least one treadmill above to show the comparison table.
| Feature | WalkingPad A1 Pro | |||
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Motor power | 1.25 CHP | |||
| Maximum speed | 6 km/h (3.7 mph) | |||
| Incline | None | |||
| Running belt | 120 x 41.50 cm (47.2 x 16.3 in) | |||
| Maximum user weight | 136 kg (21 st 6 lb) | |||
| Frame type | Walking Pad | |||
| Compatible apps | KS Fit | |||
| Assembled dimensions | 143.2 x 54.7 x 12.9 cm (56.4 x 21.5 x 5.1 in) |
The table is there to make the differences easier to scan. I would still judge each treadmill in the context of the training it is designed for rather than treating one higher figure as automatically better.
WalkingPad A1 Pro final verdict
The WalkingPad A1 Pro works well if you want a suitable 120 cm (47.2 in) walking length, flat storage and a higher 136 kg (21 st 6 lb) stated user limit.
The 1.25 CHP brushless motor is a good match for everyday walking, while the 136 kg (21 st 6 lb) user limit is higher than many compact pads.
At 28.5 kg (63 lb), the pad is compact but not especially light to move after every walk.
If low-level storage and the higher user limit matter, the A1 Pro has a clear appeal. If incline or jogging may matter later, I would choose a different model.
