Reebok i-Run 5.0 quick verdict
The Reebok i-Run 5.0 is aimed at walking, jogging and lighter running where compact storage matters more than having a large running treadmill. It folds down to around 31 cm (12.2 in) high and arrives assembled.
The 120 cm (47.2 in) running belt and 1.25 CHP motor are the main limits. I would not choose it for a taller runner planning regular hard sessions, but the compact design makes much more sense for lighter use in a smaller home.

I judge the i-Run 5.0 in the context of the job it is designed to do – compact walking, jogging and shorter-stride running where storage matters. I focused on how the main features affect real buying decisions rather than treating every line of the specification as equally important.
- Training suitability – belt size, speed, incline and the overall specification for the kind of running, jogging or walking the machine is aimed at.
- Build and practicality – machine weight, user capacity, frame type, dimensions, storage and how realistic it is to place and move at home.
- Technology and ownership – console or controls, app choice, warranty and recurring themes in model-specific customer feedback.
For this review I focused on motor power, running area, folding, incline, app choice and warranty. I use the current UK specification as the starting point and focus on how the main features affect real buying decisions. I do not assume an overseas version is identical to the model sold here.

Enter a few details and I will check them against the product information for this treadmill. Treat the result as a buying aid rather than a manufacturer guarantee.
Who is the Reebok i-Run 5.0 best for?
The i-Run 5.0 is a good fit if space is tight and your training is mainly walking, jogging and lighter running.
If you are tall, plan to run hard several times a week or need a higher user limit, I would choose a larger treadmill.
What Stands Out
Compact storage – The treadmill folds down to around 31 cm (12.2 in) high, which is much easier to store than a fold-up deck treadmill.
Several training apps – Zwift, Kinomap and the Reebok Console app give you more choice than a ‘locked-in’ training platform.
No assembly needed – It arrives assembled, so you just unfold, plug in and away you go!
Powered incline – The 12 incline levels give you an easy way to make walking and jogging harder without upping the speed. Levels means 12 adjustment increments, not 12%.
Things to consider
Short belt for regular running – The belt is fine for walking and even jogging but short for regular running, especially if you are tall or have a long stride.
Better suited to walking and jogging – The motor is better suited to walking and jogging rather than repeated hard sessions.
Limited pace for faster intervals – May be enough for most users but limits faster interval work.
Heavier users need to check the limit – Make sure you are within the 120 kg (18 st 13 lb) limit before buying. If you’re on the cusp, I’d look elsewhere.
A CLOSER LOOK
How the Reebok i-Run 5.0 performs in key areas
RUNNING COMFORT
Running area
The 120 x 46 cm (47.2 x 18.1 in) running area is better suited to walking, jogging and shorter running strides than regular faster running. Taller runners should look for more belt length.
BUILD & CAPACITY
Build and user weight
The treadmill weighs 53.5 kg (8 st 6 lb) and has a 120 kg (18 st 13 lb) maximum user weight. That lighter build fits the design because flat storage is one of the reasons to choose it.
PERFORMANCE
Motor and speed
The 1.25 CHP motor and 15 km/h (9.3 mph) top speed fit walking, jogging and lighter running. I would not choose it for demanding running sessions or high weekly mileage. That suits the i-Run 5.0’s compact, storage-led design: it can cover normal walking and jogging well, but it is not the machine I would pick for long, hard runs several times a week.
HILL CLIMB TRAINING
Incline
The 12 incline levels let you make walking and jogging harder without simply adding more speed. Reebok does not state the maximum gradient percentage, so I would not convert the 12 levels into a percentage.
SPACE & STORAGE
Frame and storage
Storage is one reason to consider the i-Run 5.0. It folds flat to 31 cm (12.2 in) high and arrives assembled, which makes it much easier to fit into a multi-use room. My folding treadmill guide explains the main folding designs.
CONNECTED TRAINING
Apps and subscriptions
Reebok’s app is optional, and Zwift and Kinomap are supported too. That gives you more freedom to change how you train later. My smart treadmill guide explains the different levels of treadmill integration.
Reebok Console is Reebok's own companion app for compatible equipment; the i-Run 5 also supports Zwift and Kinomap.
EVERYDAY USE
Console and controls
The console is simple, which suits this treadmill. You get clear controls and a device holder without paying for a large built-in screen.
Reebok Console is Reebok's own companion app for compatible equipment; the i-Run 5 also supports Zwift and Kinomap.
PEACE OF MIND
Warranty and after-sales cover
The warranty is 25 years on the frame, 10 years on the motor, 2 years labour and 2 years on the computer.
The frame and motor cover is strong. The two-year labour and computer cover is the part I would pay closer attention to.
SPACE CHECK
Reebok i-Run 5.0 dimensions and space required
The i-Run 5.0 is designed to reduce its storage footprint, but I would still check the exact folded or stored dimensions against the space where you intend to keep it.
| Dimensions in use | 151 x 75 x 120 cm (59.4 x 29.5 x 47.2 in) |
| Running area | 120 x 46 cm (47.2 x 18.1 in) |
| Frame type | Flat Folding |
| Maximum user weight | 120 kg (18 st 13 lb) |
| Machine weight | 53.5 kg (118 lb) |
Although this treadmill has transport wheels, you still need to be comfortable lifting or tilting part of it to get it onto the wheels before you can move it.
TREADMILL COMPARISON
Compare the Reebok i-Run 5.0 with other treadmills
Use the selectors below to compare the Reebok i-Run 5.0 with up to three treadmills I have reviewed. The first column stays fixed to this model.
Choose at least one treadmill above to show the comparison table.
| Feature | Reebok i-Run 5.0 | |||
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Motor power | 1.25 CHP | |||
| Maximum speed | 15 km/h (9.3 mph) | |||
| Incline | 12 levels | |||
| Running belt | 120 x 46 cm (47.2 x 18.1 in) | |||
| Maximum user weight | 120 kg (18 st 13 lb) | |||
| Frame type | Flat Folding | |||
| Compatible apps | Zwift, Kinomap, Reebok Console | |||
| Assembled dimensions | 151 x 75 x 120 cm (59.4 x 29.5 x 47.2 in) |
The table is there to make the differences easier to scan. I would still judge each treadmill in the context of the training it is designed for rather than treating one higher figure as automatically better.
Reebok i-Run 5.0 final verdict
The Reebok i-Run 5.0 is a good option if storage is tight and your training is mainly walking, jogging and lighter running. Folding down to around 31 cm (12.2 in) high is one of the features that helps it stand out.
The 120 cm (47.2 in) running belt and 1.25 CHP motor also set its limits. I would not choose it for a taller runner planning regular hard sessions.
Reebok Console is Reebok’s own companion app for compatible cardio equipment. Alongside Zwift and Kinomap, it gives you more connected choice than some compact treadmills, and the fact it arrives assembled is a practical bonus.
If compact storage matters, the i-Run 5.0 is worth considering. If storage is not the priority, I would buy a larger treadmill for regular running.
